AFDC
The Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC) was established in 1993 to achieve sustainable conservation of natural resources, raise awareness and build capacities to contribute to the national efforts for better environmental management. Fundamental to AFDC’s mission is the pursuit of community-based conservation for the sustainable livelihoods of people. This comes from the idea that conservation will fail if local communities do not benefit from it.
Cedars for Care
Founded in February 1998, Cedars for Care ( CFC) is a Lebanese non- Governmental Organization . It supports many Social and Environmental projects, and have founded different committees divided into two major objectives: Social and Environmental. Cedars for Care and its members have the vocation to spread the fundamentals of equality and solidarity. For we believe the human being, the plants and the animals are all part of the same cycle, the Cycle of Life that should be protected. Preserving the Environment, achieving Human Rights and keeping Social Balance is our path for a vigorous and sustainable future.
Friends of the Environment Center - Qatar
Friends of the Environment Center is located in Doha, Qatar. It is a non-profit organization seeking to enrich the concept of environmental conservation and community education. We have independent activities and events, and all these projects are fund through the cooperation and support from companies and private institution. The center was established in October 1992. Our belief consists of preserving the environment, to use and enjoy without harming its natural resources, land, and sea. We work sincerely to do our best in preserving the beautiful environment to remain clean and safe for our future generations.
G - GREEN FOR GOOD
G is a Green non-governmental organization (NGO) specialized in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project implementation, ecopreneur empowerment, and Green Building Consulting. G seeks to provide effective solutions for cities, villages, businesses, and organizations to promote a healthier environment, a cleaner earth, and a more sustainable future. G offers a full spectrum of Green Building consulting services to industrial, commercial, and governmental clients. G’s multinational team consists of a wide range of environmental consulting professionals, certified civil, electrical, and mechanical engineers, landscape and urban architects, and last but not least - LEED APs. Our on-going projects CSR projects include Water Wise villages, IGOP; sports events recycling program, Green Schools, Junior Forest Rangers Academy, Gapple (organic apple growers empowerment), Earth Hour, Ecopreneurship, and Green festivals.
Green Hand
Green hand is an environmental, social, cultural, non governmental organization. Funded in 2001 and registered in 2003. Our slogan is "A Green Hand for all Lebanon". Green Hand family gathers now more than 218 volunteers from all over Lebanon, distributing their efforts on the six departments: environmental, social, cultural, anti-smoking, road accident safety and youth department, in addition to a large team of friends and supporters. Believing that the real change has to come in an ascendant way, Green Hand bases its work on the concepts of environmental and human sustainable development through the mobilization and participation of the local communities in every step of our way. Considering youth as the key change agents, Green Hand focuses on empowering youth, providing them with more awareness, knowledge and know-how to better reach and implement the desired change. Green Hand provides now a wild range of services and programs covering different intervention fields, reaching all age categories and diverse society sectors.
