National, regional and international governmental and inter-governmental bodies, whose mandate covers environment and sustainable development issues, can join AFED as observers. In this capacity, they can participate in the Forum’s events, support its programmes and contribute to its debates.

Criteria of joining AFED as observer:
- A proven commitment to environmental conservation;
- Willingness to support AFED’s mission and programmes.
